About us

Dr. Amin was born and raised in Isfahan, Iran where he attended boarding school and university in Industrial Management.

He migrated to the United States of America in 1976. In 1978 Dr. Amin received an associate Masters degree in Systems Engineering Management from Los Angeles. Dr. Amin started teaching in universities and at the same time researched in Arts and Oriental Rugs.

After years of teaching he decided to get his PHD.
Therefore, he traveled to India in 1990 and stayed there until 1996.
During his stay in India he was granted a PHD in Information Systems (MIS) from Bagalor University.

Then he returns to United States. At this time he gets hired by California State University, Los Angeles (Cal State LA) to teach computer mathematics and Management Information System courses. Dr. Amin represents the 3rd generation and 250 years of family tradition of weaving, selling, importing and appraising Oriental rugs.

Therefore, falling in love with Oriental Rugs and Fine Art was very natural to him. Dr. Amin's experience with rugs started with his family business when he was 12 years old. He grew up with a wealth of knowledge from his family's experience and continued on studying and learning about Oriental rugs, especially Persian rugs, in past forty years.

Ha has been happily married for past twenty-four years and has four children. Interestingly enough, his wife was born and raised in a family with an extensive knowledge and experience in rugs and Fine Arts. Dr. Amin along with his wife and children own this company and they follow a very simple business philosophy. Their business philosophy is continuation of his family's tradition that he is very proud of.

The direct outcome of this simple philosophy is the pride about his families past and their excellent reputation in buying and selling genuine hand-woven oriental rugs. Dr. Amin still uses the traditional methods of cleaning and hand washing with natural shampoos as well as repairing your fine oriental rugs. Dr. Amin's extensive experience in rug business has led him to write a book about Oriental Rugs.
